Low Flow System: – piezometer sampling

Up to ½ gpm  (1.9 lpm)  &  max 100 feet (30 m)

The Low Flow System is designed for small diameter piezometers  0.75 – 1.5 inch (1.9 – 3.8 cm) ID . It can provide flow rates of up to 1/2 gallon per minute (1.9 lpm) and can lift water from up to 100 feet (30 m).

Low Flow System D-13 (Delrin) and SS-13 (Stainless Steel) Foot Valves have a male thread which allows them to have a maximum outside diameter of 5/8” (13mm). This narrow diameter means that they will often fit into piezometers that can not be accessed by the Standard Flow System.

Here’s How a Waterra Pump Works

The Waterra Pump System is a simple, inexpensive way to sample a monitoring well. This is how it works.

  1. A Waterra Foot Valve is attached the bottom end of a length of Waterra Tubing.
  2. The Foot Valve – Tubing combo is inserted into the well, Foot Valve first, until the valve is submerged beneath the water table to the desired pumping depth.
  3. The tubing is then oscillated (pulled up and then pushed down) over a short vertical range of motion either by hand or with a Waterra Tubing Actuator.
  4. Water builds up in the oscillating tubing until it discharges at surface.
