The Waterra Micro Flow System is popular for use in direct push technology micro well installations and multi-level installations for ground water sampling.
The SS-10 Stainless Steel Foot Valve can deliver a sample from as deep as 75 feet (23 m) and flow rates with this system are usually less than 1/2 gallon per minute (1.9 lpm).
Also used in collapsed wells or wells with obstructions.

Here’s How a Waterra Pump Works
The Waterra Pump Micro Flow System is a simple, inexpensive way to sample a monitoring well. This is how it works.
- A Waterra Foot Valve is attached the bottom end of a length of Waterra Tubing.
- The Foot Valve – Tubing combo is inserted into the well, Foot Valve first, until the valve is submerged beneath the water table to the desired pumping depth.
- The tubing is then oscillated (pulled up and then pushed down) over a short vertical range of motion either by hand or with a Waterra Tubing Actuator.
- Water builds up in the oscillating tubing until it discharges at surface.
