Waterra Standard Flow System
Standard Flow System: – our most popular system
1 gpm (3.8 lpm) & max 200 feet (60 m)
The Standard Flow System is the most popular Waterra Pump. This system is best suited for 1 – 2 inch (1.2 – 2.5 cm) ID monitoring wells and can provide lifts to 200 feet (60 m). Flow rates can be as much as 1 gallon per minute (3.8 lpm).
Foot Valves are available in Delrin and Stainless Steel with options for threading inside the tubing ( D-16 & SS-16) for narrow applications or on to the outside of the tubing (D-25 & SS-19).

Here’s How a Waterra Pump Works
The Waterra Pump System is a simple, inexpensive way to sample a monitoring well. This is how it works.
- A Waterra Foot Valve is attached the bottom end of a length of Waterra Tubing.
- The Foot Valve – Tubing combo is inserted into the well, Foot Valve first, until the valve is submerged beneath the water table to the desired pumping depth.
- The tubing is then oscillated (pulled up and then pushed down) over a short vertical range of motion either by hand or with a Waterra Tubing Actuator.
- Water builds up in the oscillating tubing until it discharges at surface.
