Waterra Hydrolift Tubing Actuator – Groundwater Sampling

Waterra Pump Hydrolift & Tubing Actuators Enhance Field Productivity - 3 Options Below

The Waterra Hydrolift Tubing Actuator as well as other Tubing Actuators assist in the operation of the Waterra Pump System. Although sometimes expedient, the manual operation of a Waterra Pump can be a strenuous experience. Purging and sampling deep wells or a large number of monitoring wells is simply not feasible by hand.

Waterra Tubing Actuators will deliver a significant boost to field productivity.

Lever Arm for Waterra Pump System

Waterra Lever Arm - Manual Tubing Actuator

Portable Mechanical Advantage
The Waterra Lever Arm – Tubing Actuator is a manual lever designed to provide operators with a convenient, portable mechanism which would provide some mechanical advantage when manually operating the Waterra Pump as well as facilitating the collection of samples with this system.

This Tubing Actuator will fasten onto most above ground well completions quickly and easily. The tubing clamp is designed to accept Low Flow, Standard Flow and High Flow tubing. The handle is adjustable in order to accommodate various casing diameters and desired stroke lengths.

The Lever Arm weighs approximately 8 pounds (3.6 kg).

This Tubing Actuator is the best choice for the occasional light duty user of the Waterra Pumping System (Low, Standard, and High Flow).

Waterra Lever Arm - Tubing Actuator Features

  • Fully adjustable
The Lever Arm is fully adjustable and will adapt to almost any size casing or protective well casing. An above ground well completion is required in order to use the Lever.
  • One handed operation
Using the Lever Arm can make sample collection easier because it supports the discharge end of the pump’s tubing, allowing the field technician to operate the Waterra Pump with one hand and hold a sample container with the other.
  • Hinged tubing clamp
The tubing clamp is hinged, which helps prevent pump tubing from abrading against well casing.
  • Reduces fatigue
This hand Lever can reduce some of the fatigue that one may experience when required to purge large volumes from wells.
  • Suitable for use with Low, Standard and High Flow Waterra Pumping Systems
  • Adapts to almost any size casing or protective well casing

High Performance Automation
The Hydrolift is a portable, electrically operated device that is used to automate the operation of the Waterra Pump System. The Hydrolift is powered by a 3/4 horsepower (560 watts) electric motor (available in either 110 volt or 220 volt) and generates a 4 inch (10 cm) stroke at up to 140 cycles per minute. The Hydrolift weighs about 35 pounds (16 kg) and requires an electrical power supply of at least 1000 watts.

This actuator is perfect for purging and sampling 2” (5 cm) diameter monitoring wells up to 200 feet (60 m) deep. In special circumstances it can lift up to 300 feet = 90 m. This electrical Tubing Actuator is optimized to operate with the Standard Flow System up to its maximum effective depth and will operate with the High Flow System up to a depth of 150 feet (45 m).

This Tubing Actuator is the ideal choice for the frequent user of the Waterra Pumping System with moderate to extreme pumping requirements (Low, Standard and High Flow). Using the Hydrolift will result in a big boost to your field sampling program.

Hydrolift Features

  • fully adjustable — the Hydrolift is fully adjustable and will adapt to almost any size casing or protective well casing and can also be used with flush grade well completions.
  • anchored discharge end of tubing — the Hydrolift supports the Waterra Tubing and also anchors the discharge end of the tubing facilitating sample collection.
  • available in either 110 volt or 220 volt AC
  • great for use when developing monitoring wells
  • reduces fatigue — the use of this automated Waterra Pump System Tubing Actuator will eliminate the fatigue that can be experienced on large monitoring programs.
  • hinged tubing clamp
  • suitable for use with  Low, Standard Flow and High Flow Waterra Pumping Systems
  • adapts to almost any size casing or protective well casing
