The Waterra Pump Low Flow System is designed for small diameter piezometers 0.75 – 1.5 inch (1.9 – 3.8 cm) ID . It can provide flow rates of up to 1/2 gallon per minute (1.9 lpm) and can lift water from up to 100 feet (30 m).
Low Flow System D-13 (Delrin) and SS-13 (Stainless Steel) Foot Valves have a male thread which allows them to have a maximum outside diameter of 1/2” (13 mm). This narrow diameter means that they will often fit into piezometers that can not be accessed by the Standard Flow System.

Here’s How a Waterra Pump Works
The Waterra Pump Low Flow System is a simple, inexpensive way to sample a monitoring well. This is how it works.
- A Waterra Foot Valve is attached the bottom end of a length of Waterra Tubing.
- The Foot Valve – Tubing combo is inserted into the well, Foot Valve first, until the valve is submerged beneath the water table to the desired pumping depth.
- The tubing is then oscillated (pulled up and then pushed down) over a short vertical range of motion either by hand or with a Waterra Tubing Actuator.
- Water builds up in the oscillating tubing until it discharges at surface.
Either the SS-13 or D-13 Foot Valve is required for the Waterra Pump Low Flow System.
Tubing choice is either HDPE or LDPE Low Flow Tubing.
